
This evening we had dinner at Brasserie L’ecole in Victoria. This restaurant has received many best of awards but I thought the food was only OK.
Here’s what I liked:
I didn’t love the frites with Parmesan, garlic, parsley and truffle oil. With such amazing goodies on top the frites there’s no excuse for them tasting soggy and just not crisp enough.
The crab leg special was fair because it was way too oily although the new potatoes were oh so sweet. The atmosphere is nice and warm but if this is one of the top restaurants in Victoria, I’m sad for the people who live on this lovely isle.
